Anonymous Call Rejection - $2/mo

If you have Caller ID and the party calling you has their number blocked, this service blocks that call from coming through and routes it to a recording. NDTC must activate this feature on your line.

Auto Call Back - $2/mo

You need to reach someone, but their phone is busy. Auto Call Back calls the party you’re trying to reach every minute for 30 minutes.

Call Screening - $1.95/mo

Call Screening greets your callers with an automated message to press 1 if they are not a telemarketer. If a 1 is not selected, the call will not complete and your home phone will not ring. If a 1 is selected, that caller is added to your “approved list”.

If you send or receive automated calls (appointments, school reminders, etc.), please provide us with those phone numbers to ensure they are added to our company-wide “approved list”.

Your phone rang, but you were unable to answer it in time. With just a touch, Auto Recall will dial the last number that called you.

Call Waiting Display - $2.45/mo

See who is calling you when you are on the phone with someone else. Must subscribe to both Caller ID and Call Waiting.

Caller ID Name & Number - $3/mo

See the caller name and phone number before answering the call (phone display screen required).

Caller ID Blocking - $0/mo

Prevent your telephone number from being sent to users of the Caller ID service. Blocking is available on a per-call basis or per-line basis. Per-call blocking must be activated from your telephone. NDTC can add a per-line block at your request.

Caller Name - $2/mo

View the caller’s name before answering the phone (phone display screen required).

Caller Number - $2/mo

See the caller’s phone number before answering the call (phone display screen required).

Customer Originated Trace - $5 Per Trace

To activate this service, immediately pick up the phone and touch *57 (rotary phones dial 1157). Listen for a confirmation message indicating that your trace was successful. The number of the last call you received will be recorded by the law enforcement agency. Please keep a note of the times and dates on which you receive a confirmation message indicating that a trace has successfully been performed.

If your call cannot be traced, please contact your local telephone company for additional information. Contact the local law enforcement agency to handle the annoyance call problem.

There is a fee for each successful trace. This service should only be used to trace life-threatening calls or calls which are of a harassing nature in which you may want to press charges.

Custom Ringing - $2/mo

Allows you to create a list of 15 incoming numbers that you want to be recognized by a special ring or call waiting tone. Listen for prompts for setting up the list of numbers.

Maintenance - $1.75 Per Service

Home, rental property, or commercial building owners are responsible for the telephone wiring inside the walls. If you find any damage from, for instance, an exposed wire or pests in the walls, you could receive an unexpected repair bill. We’re glad to fix any problem leading to your home at no cost to you, but the law requires that you are responsible for what’s inside the building.

Take advantage of the NDTC Maintenance Service, which can protect you from an unexpected bill for repair work completed inside your walls. Enjoy peace of mind with NDTC’s Maintenance Service.

North Dakota Long Distance

Selective Call Acceptance - $2/mo

Prepare a list of 15 numbers to define what calling numbers will be accepted. Any numbers not on that list will be routed to announcements and rejected. Listen for prompts to set up numbers for acceptance.

Selective Call Forwarding - $2/mo

Allows you to create a list of 12 calling numbers set up to forward on to a designated remote number where you are able to take calls. Listen for prompts to create your list.

Selective Call Rejection - $2/mo

Allows you to create a list of 12 numbers that will be routed to an announcement stating their call is not accepted and is then rejected. All other calls will be treated normally. Listen for prompts to create your list. Contact the local phone company for availability and restrictions.

Call Waiting - $2.45/mo

How It Works

A short tone signals that another person is trying to call you when you are on the phone. The incoming caller only hears the usual ringing sound. You can put one call on hold while handling the second call, or alternate between the two.

To Answer the Second Call

If you wish to end the first call, hang up.
Your phone will ring and the second (incoming) caller will be on the line.
If you want to hold the first call while answering the second call, press the switchhook once, firmly (1/2 second), and release it immediately.
You will be connected with the other person on your line. (Use the recall button on Trimline^® models.)

Returning to the First Call

To return to the first call, simply press the switchhook once, firmly (1/2 second), and release it immediately. With this method, you can switch between the two calls as frequently as you wish.

How to End Either Conversation

After you have finished talking with either caller, hang up. Your phone will ring and when you answer you will be connected with the person remaining on the line.

To Cancel Call Waiting

Turn on Cancel Call Waiting when you’re making an important call, and talk as long as you want with no interruptions. The Calling party will receive a recorded message that the call cannot be completed. After you finish your call, Call Waiting returns automatically when you hang up the phone. Cancel Call Waiting assures you of uninterrupted phone calls during important conversations, when talking long distance.

Instructions:

Listen for a dial tone.
Dial 70 #.
Listen for three short tones, followed by a normal dial tone.
Dial a telephone number.

During a Call…

Press the switchhook (the button that hangs up the phone) for one second.
Dial 70 #.
A tone will be heard and you will be automatically reconnected to your call.

Call Forwarding - $1/mo

Call Forwarding lets you transfer your incoming calls automatically to any other telephone you can dial within the continental U.S.A. without the assistance of an operator.

Call Forwarding Instructions

To Activate

Dial *72 and dial the number you would like to forward your calls to. It will call the number you are forwarding to.
- If they answer: Talk for at least 2 seconds and the feature will be activated. (If answering machine or voicemail answers, it will consider the call answered.)
- If they don’t answer: Hang up & immediately dial *72; enter number to forward to. You will hear 2 confirmation beeps if feature is activated.

To Deactivate

Things to Remember

Call forwarding continues until you deactivate it from your telephone.
You can still make outgoing calls from your telephone while Call Forwarding is established.
A short ring will be heard whenever your number is called to remind you your telephone calls are forwarded, but you will be unable to answer these calls to your initiating telephone until you deactivate Call Forwarding.
Don’t forget to tell the person who will receive your calls that you are using Call Forwarding, especially if you will not be where your calls will be forwarded.
You pay applicable charges, if any, for calls forwarded from your telephone.

Call Forward Busy - $1/mo

Transfer incoming calls to another number of your choice when your line is busy, so you never miss an important call. Give us a call to sign up and designate what number you want calls transferred to.

Three-Way Calling - $1/mo

Add a Third Person to Your Conversation

1. Press the switchhook once firmly (1/2 second), and release immediately to put the original call on “hold”.
2. Listen for three short tones, then a dial tone.
3. Dial the telephone number of the third person to be added. After the third person answers, you may talk with that person before returning to the original call.
4. To return the original caller to the line and complete the three-way conversation, press the switchhook once firmly (1/2 second), and release immediately.

Note: If the line is busy or doesn’t answer, cancel the three-way call by pressing the switchhook once. Continue the original conversation or try again.

Remove Either Person from the Conversation

1. The original called party just hangs up to disconnect.
2. The third person is removed by your pressing the switchhook once and releasing it immediately, or by the third person simply hanging up.

To Add a Different Person

1. Perform a “remove” step.
2. Then repeat the first 5 steps.

Speed Calling

Provides one-digit codes for up to 30 of the telephone numbers you call most, local and long-distance. Learn more.

To Add or Change a Speed Call Code Number

8-Code Speed Calling – $1/mo:

1. Listen for dial tone, then dial activating code 74#.
2. Listen for a second dial tone, then dial the Speed Calling code number (2 through 9) to be changed or added.
3. Next, dial the local or complete long-distance number you want assigned to that code number.
4. Two short tones indicate the new code and telephone number combination have been recorded.

Save a Number Using Speed Calling 30 – $2/mo:

1. Listen for dial tone.
2. Dial 75#, (or dial “75” on your rotary phone).
3. Listen for a second dial tone.
4. Dial a two-digit code for each number (20 through 49), followed by the telephone number the code represents.
5. Two short tones indicate the number has been stored.

To place a call:

1. Listen for dial tone.
2. Dial one of the Speed Calling codes followed by the # button.
3. Your call will go through after a short pause.

Home Intercall Service - $0.90/mo

Home Intercall Service allows customers with a one-party residence or business to use their phone line to provide an intercom system.

Home Intercall Instructions:

To Use:

1. Dial your telephone number.
2. Listen for the message that states you’ve dialed your own number.
3. Hang up and wait for the phone to ring.
4. Pick up to speak to the other party in your home.

While you’re away, this small piece of equipment can monitor your home, office, or any unattended facility to detect temperature extremes, power failure, and sound levels, and automatically alert you of unsafe conditions at up to four separate telephone numbers. You can also dial in to your Sensaphone system to receive periodic status reports, or just listen to on-site sounds.

The Sensaphone Model 400 is a fully-programmable environmental monitoring system. It is simple to install, program, and operate, and no changes to standard electrical or telephone service are required. To ensure reliable operation, the Model 400 features power backup capability; in the event of AC power failure, six C-cell alkaline batteries (not included) will continue to power the unit for approximately 24 hours.
